The founder of Biocon in 1978 who today is worth $4.1 billion and is the richest woman in India. Her journey started from founding Biocon in the garage of her rented home, facing difficulties at launch for both her young age and her inexperience. She managed to get past these persecutions at launch and become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in history. 

Tory Burch

After years of experience working for fashion icons like Vera Wang, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Loewe, Burch went on to create her own fashion empire. This brand has been a leading trend in the industry since its birth in 2004. Burch also is getting more involved with her philanthropy work with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Not only does her passion and work speak to her heralded success, but also the work she is doing by helping so many people through difficult afflictions and trials of life.

Yang Lan

The most powerful woman in Chinese media. Yang Lan founded the Sun Media Group, she is also a journalist and talk show host and sometimes known as the “Oprah of China.” Clearly, she has become one of the biggest media moguls not just in China but in the entire world.

After facing rejection after rejection from potential investors and partners on the launch of her brand idea, Spanx, she continued to pursue her passion tirelessly. She caught a break when Oprah Winfrey publicly supported her business idea and product that helped her company get off the ground into a huge global breakthrough.
